The home page

A section-by-section guide to the home page of alzheimers.ephemerisx.com, from the drug table to the decision timeline.

Last updated September 29, 2026

The home page of alzheimers.ephemerisx.com reads from top to bottom, broad to deep: every approved drug first, then the anti-amyloid antibodies, then each of their decisions.

Header and count tiles#

The page opens with the title Alzheimer's drugs at the FDA and four tiles:

  • FDA-approved Alzheimer's drugs
  • Anti-amyloid antibodies
  • Anti-amyloid decisions traced
  • Applications pending: always Not published by FDA, with a link down to Pending.

Under the tiles, a note says whether every decision has a complete record loaded. If not, it says how many do and that the rest show what is missing.

Every FDA-approved Alzheimer's drug#

A table with one row per drug, grouped by what the label says the drug is for:

  • Brain imaging (PET): amyloid and tau
  • Agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease
  • Treatment of Alzheimer's disease
  • Treatment of dementia of the Alzheimer's type
  • No current FDA label
ColumnShows
DrugBrand name. Anti-amyloid antibodies have an In depth ↓ link to their card.
What the label says it is forThe indication, quoted from the label, with a link such as FDA label, effective <date> ↗. If the brand has no label of its own, the link says so and points to a same-ingredient generic's label.
First approvedThe first approval of the application. It can predate the Alzheimer's indication.
Status● Marketed (at least one product not discontinued) or ○ Discontinued (the row is greyed).
FDA applicationsEach application number, linked to Drugs@FDA.
Generic applicationsHow many generic applications reference it.

The fine print under the table explains the sources and ends with the date the data was fetched.

Anti-amyloid antibodies, in depth#

One card per antibody. Each card has:

  • Products: brand, BLA number, an Approved or Refused pill, the pathway and date, and the latest action.
  • FDA decisions: a dated list. Each item has a pill, a link to its decision entry and its Basis.
  • ARIA: where the agency's position on ARIA started or changed, and where it stands, each with a status pill, date, quote and citation. The block ends with Every ARIA position, all drugs →.

Events the FDA has not recorded are stated as such, for example “not in the FDA record · checked <date>”.

Decision timeline#

On phones the table becomes a stack of cards.

Five regulatory questions#

Five cards, one per thread, each with its question and a Follow the thread → link to the threads page.

Pending#

Explains why the site does not list applications under review, and what it watches instead. See Pending applications.

Also relevant, not in the drug list#

Items that matter for Alzheimer's but are not drugs in the list, for example a blood test device. They are “Listed only: no entry.”
